SUMMER BY THE RIVER 2024

Take a deep breath and relax in a riverside oasis for our Summer by the River, where cool courtyards and cooler drinks await. Starting on 30 May 2024 relax with fellow travellers, sharing tales and tastes from far off places. And when the night breeze drifts in, sit beneath the summer stars as music and laughter fill the air.

Running until 1 September, this year’s festival is bringing urban oasis vibes to the banks of the Thames over three locations – The Scoop, Hay's Galleria and The Pier.

Live at The Scoop, Join us for a vibrant mix of music, film, sport and pop-up events all summer long. Lights Camera actions. From family favourites to this year’s box office hits, we’re bringing the best of the silverscreen to The Scoop every Tuesday evening. Barbie, Wonka, Back to the Future and more will have you gasping, laughing and singing along while the sun sets over the Thames. Hot Summer Sound. Music fans are well catered for at Summer by the River, with a talented lineup of choirs, DJs and up-and-coming artists from BBC Music Introducing in London hitting the stage every week. In The Fan Zone. Ready for a summer of back-to-back sport? Screening highlights from Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, the Olympic Games and Test cricket, The Scoop’s the place to cheer on your favourite athletes over lunch – strawberries and Pimm’s optional.

Refresh and Unwind. Whether you’re catching up with friends over cocktails, planning the perfect lunch date or just looking to take time out for a little R&R, our pop-up bars offer the ideal backdrop for your summer. Over at the Riverside Terrace, choose from Shawarma Bros’ irresistible range of wraps and fresh cut salads, before treating yourself to ice cream with baklava. Room for more? Burger Bros are bringing the heat to the Riverside Pavilion with beef, chicken and mushroom burgers, as well as loaded truffle and halloumi fries.The bars’ drinks menu is equally tempting, with ice-cool Aperol negronis, watermelon June fizzes and a selection of beers served with views of the city.
