Beyond Food Foundation presents a night of live music to raise awareness of its pioneering work harnessing the power of food to restore unravelled lives.

Safe At Any Speed

Originally formed as a post-punk outfit playing in a South London open mic pub, Safe At Any Speed soon expanded their sound and audience. Evolving musically, they fuse influences such as Blues, Psycho & Rockabilly, and even some literary influences and references. From supporting Stone on a UK tour to having a combined residency at the Blue Post on Berwick Street with fellow band the Velvet Fuzz, this is a band to watch for.

The Zaffiros

The Zaffiros are an alt rock out from the South who strive to blend atmosphere, crushing riffs and floating harmonies to evoke a journey of emotions throughout each song.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Royal Blood, Radiohead and Tesseract, strong melodies and rhythm are huge inspirations to the music and are pushed to the forefront of every element. A band that has been described as "electrifying" and "one to watch", The Zaffiros captivating sound is both defining and open ended, each song simultaneously a statement and a question, with the phrase "what could they possibly do next?" following the lads across UK venues. If you like music deep rooted in emotion and energy, then the Zaffiros are a band that you won't want to miss.

Cubano Soul

Cubano Soul are the official band of the social movement Camerados and had a year long residency at London's Conduit Club promoting their work. Camerados believes you can change the world and dance at the same time so this partnership works!

Camerados is a movement of people popping up all over the world creating spaces in neighbourhoods called Public Living Rooms, somewhere we can all go when we are having a rough time and just need some no agenda company.

Beyond Food Foundation is a grassroots charity based in London Bridge. It has its own social enterprise restaurant, the Brigade Bar + Kitchen.

In our crumbling society, we all need compassion. The mental health crisis, affects and hurts us all. When life unravels, we all feel pain. Beyond Food's kitchen-based programs bring purpose back to all. Putting employment back on the menu, they return respect.

Beyond Food is for everyone; because we’ve each had a second chance. At Beyond Food, anyone can cook their heart out, sharing the honour.

For 20 years, they've been helping many see beyond their situations. Founded and led by chefs, they impart the respect of the kitchen. Introduced by referral partners, their skilled leaders support those at the margins. More than 2,500 people have participated in FreshLife and 86% remain in work 12 months on.
