Summer By The River: BBC Introducing in London

BBC Introducing in London presenter Jess Iszatt is back at The Scoop to present another sizzling line up of the best emerging talent from the capital.

Catch three up-and-coming artists in a line up specially curated for Summer By The River by Jess and the BBC Introducing in London team.

Siobhán Winifred

Rising London stat Siobhán Winifred headlines our final BBC Introducing night, ahead of her debut headline UK tour and her debut EP, 'Don't Do Well Alone', out 27th September.

Carving out a unique space of her own, Siobhán's affecting brand of deftly pop-tinged indie-rock has already seen her venture on tours across the UK & Ireland this year with Rachel Chinouriri, Nieve Ella, and The Academic, as well as opening for Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park.

Born and raised in Dorset, UK and of Irish lineage, Siobhán Winifred released her first music independently in 2022, and it wasn’t long before industry tastemakers started taking notice, with her singles so far racking up spins from Mollie King, Jack Saunders, Nels Hylton and Maia Beth at BBC Radio 1 as well as praise from BBC Introducing’s Jess Iszatt, and coverage from the likes of NME, The Line of Best Fit, DIY, DORK, CLASH and more.

Georgie & Joe

UK vocalists, songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, and producers Georgie and Joe, release their hotly anticipated second single “Nobody Will Love You”, an unapologetically supercharged heater coming out at the top of the summer.

Nobody Will Love You follows Georgie and Joe debut single Student, a UKG inflected pop song. On release they quickly became an exciting and talked about new artist with support from The Fader, Notion, Clash Mag, Gorilla v Bear, Line of Best Fit, and many others catapulting them to the top of Hype Machine, and multiple spins on Radio 1 supported by Jack Saunders - Future Artists, Jaguar - BBC Introducing Radio 1 Dance and Jess Iszatt - BBC introducing. This led to many eagerly waiting for what's next...

Saïna

North West London-based, half Japanese and half English singer-songwriter/producer Saïna (pronounced Sa-ee-na) took up the piano and guitar age 7 and started to write her own songs age 12. After attending the BRIT School and working from her bedroom studio, she writes and collaborates with others, her style influenced by Neo-Soul, alternative Rnb and Electronic sounds. She has recently begun exploring Japanese folk sounds and lyrics. Through the striking visual imagery and irony in her lyrics she explores themes of connection, vulnerability and renewal.
