230722 Film Screenings At In A Field By A Bridge Pic 1

In a Field by a Bridge, a brand-new festival to the area, brings together a selection of thought-provoking films exploring sustainability, ecology, nature, community, localism and creativity.

We bring an exquisite lineup of films across the weekend, including the acclaimed masterpieces Time Bascule, Honeyland and River.

Time Bascule reimagines Tower Bridge, as a living musical instrument. Spanning from 1915 to the present day, the film connects two female protagonists; Hannah Griggs, one of the first women to work on the bridge and 21st Century and Rose - an environmentally conscious teen.

River 18:00-19:15

River is an exploration of the timeless relationship between human civilization and Earth's rivers. Spanning six continents, this visual and musical tour-de-force is by turns celebratory, cautionary, and ultimately hopeful that we are beginning to understand rivers in all their complexity and fragility. Narrated by Oscar Nominee Willem Dafoe. With music by the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Radiohead.

Honeyland will be shown on Saturday 22 July at 18:00
