Summer By The River: Balladeste

String duo Balladeste is a collaboration between Preetha Narayanan (violin) and Tara Franks (cello), exploring the versatility and sound potential of just two stringed instruments. With traces of the contemporary minimalist classical styles of Philip Glass and Steve Reich, Indian classical music and European folk elements, the duo compose original compositions that are vibrant, experimental and cinematic, and all the while beautifully melodic and accessible in quality – songs without words with a contemporary classical twist.

The duo have just released their much anticipated second album ‘Beyond Breath’ (4**** Songlines Magazine).
