"It’s deeply, deeply in the blood,” Mysie says of the music she makes.
Raised in South East London but with roots that stretch back generations to Uganda, Mysie can retroactively plot the path to where she is now: making intimate indie soul that takes her listeners along with her on the journey through raw and sensitive emotional spaces. In it, you’ll find a character, one unafraid to be both headstrong and sensitive; carefree and vulnerable. In 2020, using “Rocking Chair” as an example of her talent, the Ivor Novello Awards chose Mysie as their first Rising Star Award recipient.
DEJA’s music is unapologetic, sassy and full of self-love.
Originally from Solihull, Birmingham, DEJA now resides in West London to pursue her career in music. Having grown up surrounded by a family of music enthusiasts, the singer has cherished music for as long as she can remember, sourcing inspiration from a variety of RnB and icons. She's inspired by the stage presence of Beyonce, the feistiness of Rihanna and the vocals of Christina Aguilera, to name only a few.
She places relatable and fiery lyrics on sticky rhythmic R&B-pop production. She sings, she dances and she never bites her tongue. Lower your sunglasses as DEJA's songs are the ‘verbal eye-rolls’ you never knew you needed.
"Anthems of self-love and confidence...main-character energy" - NOTION
“The meeting point between pop and R&B, upbeat and seductive in equal measure” – TRENCH
Born from the anxiety of pandemic-amplified social media pressures, 'I wanna feel happy' the second LP from Anglo / Irish singer songwriter Rosie Carney, explores her personal mental health struggles against the backdrop of navigating a musical career in 2022.
In the three years since her debut LP 'Bare', which NPR described as capturing “the weary grace of a survivor who’s located the source of her strength” Carney has continuously raised her profile with select collaborations including Lisa Hannigan and The Paper Kites. She has amassed over 200 million streams and counts Aaron Dessner, Lily James, Robin Pecknold, and Cigarettes After Sex among her followers. Carney’s 2020 EP 'i dreamed i was the night', was co-produced with Thomas Bartlett, known for his Oscar and Grammy-nominated work with Sufjan Stevens and Florence & The Machine. In 2021 she covered all of Radiohead's 'The Bends' during lockdown.
