Summer By The River: The Future Shape of Sound

The Future Shape Of Sound are an up-to 10-piece Rock’n’Roll Crime-Gospel outfit, spear-headed by accomplished music producer Alex McGowan aka “Captain Future”.

Visualise a bunch of Rock’n’Roll, blues musicians and gospel singers coming together to rock it out in a disused circus tent!

They’ve picked up plays on BBCRadio2, BBC6Music, been playlisted in major retail stores, heard in Sky TV trailers, and have put their spectacle on stages of many smooth nighteries and major outdoor congregations such as Bestival, Shambala, Secret Garden Party, Hipsville, Grillstock, Wilderness, and The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, converting believers with shimmering choir harmonies, Hammond organ grooves and Rock’n’Roll guitars.

Their live EP entitled ‘IT’S GONE ALL WRONG’ makes for the anthem of the times, performed live with Miss Debbralee Wells on gritty powerhouse lead vocals in a way the songs have never been heard before, aptly suited to a time like none before!
