This is Early Jazz, the 1900s to 1920s hot style that started out as Jass. The Swamp Donkeys have brought this traditional style to international stages by bringing together deep respect for the forms and sounds of the era with modern sensibilities and ideas. The band is led by the larger-than-lifeJames Williams who brings such a convincing Satchmo with the rest of his repertoire that by the time you get to the sax and trombone, you may literally be out of breath.
